Who we are
The data controller is CJS Global Ltd (company number 10664657), trading as Paper Pip, of 8 Henfron, Caerphilly, CF83 2NU, United Kingdom.

What we collect
Depending on how you use Paper Pip, we may process:
- Account details — the email address you use to request a magic-link sign-in, and the session that keeps you signed in.
- Page details you type — theme prompts, a name to print or trace, an optional age, line style, paper size, and class lists of first names for Classroom printing.
- Saved pages — if you are signed in, we store a record of pages you make, including the options above and, where you choose a painted border, the border image in private Cloudflare R2 storage so you can reprint it.
- Short-lived print jobs — the details needed to open the print page, which expire automatically.
- Payment records — Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan, credits, and whether a one-off purchase succeeded. We do not store full card numbers.
- Free-sheet count — a small cookie that remembers how many of the three anonymous free pages you have used on that browser.
- Analytics and advertising data — if you accept non-essential cookies, tools from Google, Meta and (if we run Bing ads) Microsoft may collect your IP address, device and browser details, pages you view, how you arrived on the site, and ad click identifiers. They may recognise you across other sites that use the same tools. We do not send the names, themes or class lists you type into those ad platforms as a customer list.
Why we use it
We use this information to:
- create, preview, print and save your pages (contract);
- send the sign-in link and keep you logged in (contract);
- take payment, apply plan limits, and handle billing (contract);
- keep the service secure and stop abuse of free pages (legitimate interests);
- answer support requests you send us (legitimate interests or contract);
- understand how the site is used and measure, improve and attribute our advertising (consent), via Google Analytics, Google Ads (gtag), the Meta Pixel, and Microsoft Advertising if we use Bing ads;
- see how Paper Pip appears in search results through Google Search Console (legitimate interests). Search Console does not place an advertising cookie on your browser.
Children
Paper Pip is for anyone who wants a printable page — parents, teachers, pen pals, and children who want themed writing paper. An account can be created with an email address, including by a child.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not upload a child’s name, email or class list to Google, Meta or Microsoft as an advertising audience. If analytics or advertising cookies are accepted on a browser a child uses, those companies may still see that the site was visited. A parent or guardian can choose “Essential only” on the cookie banner, or email us to delete an account. Please do not put extra personal details (addresses, phone numbers, school names, medical information) into a theme or name field. Teachers who type a class list are responsible for only entering names they are allowed to use.
A parent or guardian can email calum@paperpip.co to access, correct or delete a child’s account or saved pages.
Who we share it with
We use other companies to run Paper Pip. They only get what they need to do that job:
- Stripe — payments, subscriptions and the billing portal.
- Resend — sending the magic-link email.
- Replicate — optional painted border images from the theme you type (not your email).
- Cloudflare R2 — private storage of those border images for signed-in history.
- Google — Analytics, Ads (gtag) and Search Console, if those tools are active and, for cookies, you have accepted them.
- Meta — the Meta Pixel for Facebook and Instagram ads, if you have accepted advertising cookies.
- Microsoft — Advertising / Bing UET, if we run Bing ads and you have accepted advertising cookies.
We do not sell your information. Those advertising companies may use the data they collect for their own purposes under their own policies. We may also share information if the law requires us to, or to protect Paper Pip, our users, or other people.
Where it is processed
We are based in the United Kingdom. Some processors (including Stripe, Resend, Replicate, Cloudflare, Google, Meta and Microsoft) may handle data in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, the United States or other countries. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards those providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Account, saved pages and border images — while the account is open.
- If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or irreversibly anonymise personal data we no longer need, including saved pages and stored borders.
- Billing records we must keep for tax and accounting — usually up to six years.
- Magic-link tokens — 15 minutes, then they expire.
- Sign-in sessions — up to 90 days, or until you sign out.
- Anonymous free-sheet cookie — up to 12 months.
- Cookie-choice cookie — up to 12 months.
- Analytics and advertising data — for as long as those providers keep it under their settings (Google Analytics is typically up to 14 months).
- Print-job payloads — a short time, then they expire.
- If an account has not been used for 24 months, we may delete it and the saved pages attached to it after a reasonable attempt to email the address on the account.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- erase it (including closing the account);
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- receive a copy in a portable format where that right applies.
